Men's Prayer Walk

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I hope this note finds you all well and in good spirits. With this being my first blog, I am writing to not only inform you, but to invite you to my latest ministry assignment.

On Saturday, May 5, the men of this fellowship, their friends and guests, will meet conduct our first Men’s Prayer Walk. I am so excited about the potential and the possibilities of REAL men coming together to pray and seek God's face... I am about ready to bust!

The plan is for us to meet at Blendon Woods Metropark for a time of prayer and worship, then spend some time in walking the trails in prayer and meditation appreciating God’s glorious creation! I believe that some of the most profound time with God can be when we remove ourselves from the everyday, the mundane, and as Brother Lawrence puts it, "practice the presence of God." He has our answers, He is our answer, but all too often we forget or just too stubborn to practice His presence.

If you cannot attend this special time of prayer, please reply to this blog with your prayer request, or email me at sean736@aol.com. Again, feel free to invite your friends, neighbors, or co-workers to this event. ALL MEN ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND! As a particular focus for intercession, we will be praying for our children, and for this generation of children. If you haven’t noticed, our children are being attacked on a daily basis. Each and everyday there are horrendous stories of children being abused, molested, neglected, and abandoned! Let us decree and declare this day that THE DEVIL CANNOT HAVE OUR KIDS! We will collect an offering to benefit the Huckleberry House. To learn more see them at www.huckhouse.org.

If possible, I am asking that you fast the night before the prayerwalk. Fasting will help us remove our fleshly boundaries and will sensitize us to what the LORD has to say.

I would love to hear from you... any constructive ideas, or questions are welcomed. Post your ideas, prayer requests, or questions, I will respond.

Sean.
